Office of Regulatory Affairs Units
MSU's Animal Care Program now encompasses two divisions:
- Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) - reviews and oversees projects
- Campus Animal Resources (CAR) (formerly ULAR) - husbandry, vet care, procurement, training
MSU is required by law to oversee research involving humans and to administer training. This program includes:
- the Institutional Review Board (Biomedical IRB, Social Science IRB, Community & Education IRB)
- the HRPP Compliance office
This office oversees the reporting of potential financial conflicts, assists in development conflict management plans, supports the Conflict Review Committee, and conducts training.
MSU has established an Institutional Stem Cell Research Committee to oversee stem cell research conducted by MSU faculty, staff, and students. This website provides information on the requirements and the application process.
Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) oversees programs in health and safety, protection of the environment and regulatory compliance.
