Enter Attendance for Pre-Registered Events

If you create a calendar training event and have people re-register, a list of participants will be generated. After the event, you can log back in and mark attendance. Scheduled Event Guide.pdf

  • Option 1: Event Update

    Note: if you have walk-ins to add to the roster, add them through the Participants tab before marking attendance.

    1. Select Manager Menu > Master Schedule.
    2. Select the event.
    3. On the Event Workflow tab, click Event Update.

    1. Select to sort your list by last name or enrollment order, and click Next.
    2. To update particpant status: Set the DEFAULT VALUE in the top row - this will be applied to everyone on the list. Then, manually change individual learners, as necessary. For example, set the default Status to Finished / Pass, then manually change the no shows to No Show / NA.

  • Option 2: Digital Roster
    1. Select Manager Menu > Master Schedule.
    2. Select the event.
    3. On the Event Workflow tab, click Digital Roster.
    4. Make changes to the roster and save. To add a walk-in participant, enter their netID.

  • Option 3: Process Swipe Card Data File

    If the event was fairly large or you just find it easier, you can let the ORA unit import the file for you. Important details about transferring Spartan card data at http://ora.msu.edu/train/trainers/add-records/swipe-cards.html . Be sure to mention in your email to filedepot.msu.edu that the data file comes from a pre-scheduled event.

    You can also use the swipe card data to update the existing enrollments using the options above. Just check your card data to verify who attended.
